On the trending news date 2nd April 2023, it was all about Dj Brownskin.
Who is he and what happened? Well sit down relax, lemme give you the public side of the story.
Dj Brownskin married the love of his life, Sharon NJeri who had one kid, a daughter from her previous relationship. Together they were blessed with a boy by the nickname Papa. Before Covid 19, the couple was doing well and popular from the “lamba lolo brand” but during corona, the couple was hit and affected financially.
According to those who knew her, Sharon had to stick with her family at those difficult times until when the Dj started getting gigs. The deals were good and financial he was back on track. He rented a house along Thika road and started spending time away from his family. Sharon thought thick and thin as she was on the receiving end. The Dj would even spend time with the girlfriends (who mocked Sharon) at Diani and post photos. This is the time Sharon became suicidal and it even resulted to them breaking up at some point.
On the day that Sharon took her life, the Dj had arrived that morning at around 7:00am and found Sharon with the house manager preparing the kids to go to school. Sharon had spent the night before drinking and this resulted to an argument when the Dj arrived home.
Sharon was already in a bad mental state and when suicidal thoughts run in her mind, the husband did not stop her this time. From the videos spreading in social media we see the Dj recording everything from the point Sharon swallowed the poison, threw the cup to to him. Moments later she lay on the couch as the poison had started to react. We see her struggling to breath, stomach ache as she continuously rubs her belly and frothy saliva is seen flowing from her mouth. She utter the words, “tell my kids I love them”, “Papa! Papa! Am dying”. It is at this juncture that the Dj calls the house manager to come with milk to feed Sharon. One of the kids (Papa), appears in the video and we can hear the Dj tell Papa, “patia mum maziwa”. It’s sad that the kids had to watch the mum last breathing moments.
Sharon died and was buried last year 2022 in July but the videos just leaked months later. I’ve asked a lawyer friend about the Dj Brownskin case and apparently it is not a crime to observe a suicide. This is only wrong in a court of public opinion. Learned friends, kindly confirm this… Lawyer Said “As long as he did not provide/avail it to her, it’s not an offence. “Did he induce? No proof. Did he aid? No proof. Did he abet (assist in committing crime)? No proof. Did he watch? Yes. Not criminal. Did he record? Not criminal,”
